We started to load the minibus at 5.30 this morning. We had a clear run to Stansted where we got into the first of many queues. We had our baggage weighed and taken away.
Departure time was delaved due to nthe weather in England, we finaly boarded the plane and waited for take of. We were all very excited, especialy John W as it was his first time on a plane.
When we were told to fasten our seatbelts, we asked if there was going to be terbulance, no said the airhostes, we're landing!

After pasport control we met with our drivers, we spent the next two hours driving through the German countryside from the airport in Altenburg to the residential home in Thuringia. We were met by Silvio, Mrs H and Karena who wlcomed us with tea cofe and cakes made by some of the other residents. The gave us our schedule of activities for the next few days.
We were shown to our rooms and unpacked our cases. Before we knew it, it was time for dinner.

The only sad part of the day was that Mark C was unable to atend as he was unwell. We all send Mark our best wishes and hope he has a speedy recovery.
